The Scientific and Technical Journal “Technogenic and Ecological Safety” is a peer-reviewed open-access periodical whose editorial activity is aimed at ensuring the high quality of scientific publications, adherence to the principles of academic integrity, editorial independence, scientific objectivity, transparency of editorial procedures, and ethical standards of scholarly communication.

The editorial board of the journal is guided by the principles of legality, professional responsibility, impartiality, confidentiality, respect for copyright, non-discrimination, prevention of conflicts of interest, and the provision of equal conditions for all authors regardless of their place of work, academic degree, position, citizenship, or other characteristics. Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific value, relevance, methodological soundness, and the manuscript’s compliance with the journal’s scope, and are not influenced by commercial, personal, or other non-academic factors.

Original scientific articles that correspond to the journal’s scope and thematic focus in the specialties G2 Environmental Protection Technologies and G19 Construction and Civil Engineering are accepted for consideration. Decisions on the publication of materials are made on the basis of their scientific significance, the reliability of their results and conclusions, as well as the outcomes of independent peer review.

The editorial board supports the principles of open science and encourages authors to deposit the research datasets underlying the results presented in the article in institutional, national, and/or international repositories. Whenever possible, such data should comply with the FAIR principles. Where relevant datasets exist, the author must indicate in the article and its metadata information on their location, the number of datasets, as well as the DOI or another persistent identifier that provides access to them.

For studies involving human participants, animals, or their biological materials, as well as studies using personal or confidential data, authors are required to provide information confirming receipt of a mandatory opinion or approval from an authorized body or ethics committee, if such research falls within the scope of the applicable legislation of Ukraine. Information on the existence of such approval, the name of the body, and the number and date of the document must be provided in the manuscript or accompanying materials.

The journal’s publication ethics are based on the principles of honesty, transparency, responsibility, objectivity, and respect for intellectual property. The journal adheres to the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and considers plagiarism, self-plagiarism without proper disclosure, data fabrication or falsification, manipulative citation, inappropriate authorship, undisclosed conflicts of interest, duplicate submission, and duplicate publication to be unacceptable. The editorial board, authors, and reviewers are required to comply with ethical standards at all stages of the preparation, review, and publication of scientific materials.

If signs of a breach of publication ethics are identified, the editorial board reserves the right to initiate an additional review, request explanations, reject the manuscript, publish a correction or an editorial expression of concern, or retract the article in accordance with the established procedure.
